The Adventurer

Thomas always sets himself his goals according to his personal high demands. He prepares every single adventure in detail and with a determination typical of him. Nothing is left to chance. Due to this persistence, his strong will and imaginative mind he has made his dreams come true again and again.

No wonder it was he who took the initiative for the first winter ascent of the Ferrari-Route to the top of Cerro Torre and the first crossing of the Southern Patagonian Inland Ice without depots together with the Norwegian polar expert Børge Ousland.

In all his adventures the family man Thomas Ulrich does the utmost to minimize risk as much as possible. If, from his point of view, a risk can no longer be calculated he doesn’t hesitate one moment to break off the expedition.
