Fitness LevelParticipants need not be specialists in extreme sports. The oldest participant of last year’s expedition led by Thomas Ulrich was 69, the youngest 15 years old. A good physical condition, however, is indispensable. Only those with a good condition and sufficient reserves will thoroughly enjoy the expedition.

EquipmentWe will move about in a part of the world where the right sort of equipment is vital. That’s why we will lend you the entire special gear. In addition you will need your personal equipment used for ski tours. If you like we will help you make the right choice with the various pieces or put together your whole equipment.

Risks Journeys to highly unusual regions of the world always bear certain risks. A detailed preparation, good equipment and above all Thomas Ulrich’s excellent knowledge of the polar region – he has been at the northernmost point of the earth several times – will keep the risk for participants during the whole expedition as low as possible.
